Bringing a lifelong love for Moscow’s community, identity, and values to City Leadership

Hailey’s priorities

+ Fiscal Responsibility & Making Key investments

Allocating taxpayer dollars efficiently while balancing the need to make critical investments in our city’s future.

Making progress towards the goals outlined in the comprehensive and strategic plans, maintaining infrastructure, and anticipating the needs of our citizens to make the best use of our limited resources.

  • Ensuring a robust budget process that enables City Council to create meaningful opportunities for input, questions and suggestions
  • Investing in technology and infrastructure that saves the City money in the long run, such as upgrading to a more energy efficient fleet and preventative road maintenance

+ Supporting the Arts & Creating Community

Supporting the numerous arts and community events that provide residents of all ages the opportunity to learn, connect, and grow. Ensure Moscow continues to live up to its name as the Heart of the Arts.

  • Supporting the City’s expansion of ArtWalk into monthly activities that support artists and local businesses alike

+ Data-Driven Decision Making & Active Listening

Welcoming feedback from constituents while making data-driven decisions. Soliciting public input and discussion while also seeking out quantitative data to make the best decisions for the community.

  • Encouraging public comment and robust discussion
  • Identifying data gaps where further information would prove useful such as questions about traffic, parking, and more and working with staff to gather this data

+ Continued Momentum & an Eye to Sustainable Growth

Maintaining Moscow’s character as it grows with an eye toward water, energy, infrastructure, and identity. Thinking creatively about how to ensure Moscow has adequate affordable and attainable housing for its population and that we are being responsible stewards of our natural resources.

  • Review City Code to ensure it aligns with Moscow’s Comprehensive Plan goals around growth and development and resource allocation
